Our Vision

Escondido Bible College is an interdenominational degree granting Christian college operating as a ministry of Escondido Christian Center. The College was established by Dr. Coleman Phillips in 1982, to be a "Seaport to the World." From this vision we have formulated specific objectives.

Our first objective is to provide high-quality formal preparation for those desiring to enter full-time ministry. Escondido Bible College is a certified Foursquare ministry training institute and our graduates are immediately eligible for consideration for ministerial appointments and licensing within the Foursquare denomination. Students from other denominations receive the same education which prepares them for pursuit of their ministry callings.

Escondido Bible College has been blessed to know that most of our graduates remain in ministry and that several have gone on to earn advanced degrees at prominent theological seminaries. These facts assure us that we provide a sound foundation for lifelong learning and service for the cause of Christ.

Our second objective, consistent with the first, is to provide high-quality Bible and ministry education for lay leaders and church congregants. Our desire is to see Christians in every occupation equipped to effectively represent Christ wherever they may be.
